I think everyone had a "Darrin Hudson" in their lives. Darrin Hudson was in my high school, back in Marlboro, NJ. You know, that person that you had to one-up all the time. Didn't matter what it was: Gear, hair, grades, sports, whatever...it was ON. Well for Darrin and I...it was kicks. Plain and simple. Oddly enough, in a school with over 1000 kids, me and him were the only 2 really into sneakers back then. This is my blog dedicated to Darrin. This is to tell Darrin that I'm still out there, and if he wants to battle, here it is son!! Bring it!! I've since lost touch with Darrin, but thanks to him, you all get to check out the kicks I have amassed over the years. So it is here, that I will archive every pair of shoes I own. It’ll include detailed photos, a grading system, a little tidbit behind each one and every single one will be available for purchase. (Simply POST A COMMENT with your offer). Some other little goodies sprinkled throughout also. Even if I updated a different shoe every week, it would take me about 3 years to complete this project. So sit back and enjoy! The project begins January 1st, 2006...

HIROSHI CAN'T MAKE ME WEAR CHUCKS?

hf_chuck.jpg

Now that it's been discovered that Hiroshi can't ride fixed, I'm wondering what else Hiroshi can't do. Can he make me wear Converse Chuck Taylors? Apparently he can! For all the years I've been a sneakerhead, I have never owned the ultra-classic Converse Chuck Taylor. It was just never my thing. But since I got a pair of the new HF x Cons, I donned a pair for the first time in my life today. They look pretty good on. Comfort-wise they could definitely be better. I'm not really anyone particularly special. I'm just a regular guy. And if HF was able to put me onto this shoe, it now greatly increases my chances of maybe buying another one day. Multiply this effect by all the other people who might buy this shoe and you have a lot of converts on your hand. A good move by Converse...Another notch to add to HF's accomplishments...I must say there is impressive power in that.

This shoe is available in only a handful of selected accounts in America. Reed Space drops the HF Chuck this Saturday the 29th.

When are they gonna come out with shoes that fit and feel like birkenstocks but actually look cool. That will be some modern miracle type of sh!t. Please cool designers, please help the people who wanna look cool, but have wide feet!

Also, Jeff, I don't know if you are still on the health tip, but you gotta try KOMBUCHA. You can get it at Whole Foods in NYC. Its an ancient chinese fermented tea. So so good, so so healthy!

They fit half size smaller than Nike's and you can call Reed Space and they'll ship to you if you're not in NYC.
